GYFTA53-50~60Xn Optic Cable Product Overview
The structure of GYFTA53 optical cable consists of a 250µm optical fiber housed in a loose tube made of high modulus material, with a waterproof compound filling the inner tube. At the center of the cable core is a non-metallic strength member (FRP), and for some fiber counts, an additional layer of polyethylene (PE) is extruded around the non-metallic strength member. The loose tubes (and filler cords) are twisted around the central strength member to form a compact and round cable core, with the gaps inside the core filled with water-blocking filler. An aluminum tape (APL) is longitudinally wrapped and then extruded with a layer of polyethylene inner sheath, while a double-sided coated steel tape (PSP) is longitudinally wrapped and then extruded with a polyethylene outer sheath to form the cable. An optical fiber cable is a type of communication cable consisting of two or more glass or plastic optical fibers that are located within a protective coating and covered by an external plastic PVC sheath. Signal transmission along the internal optical fibers generally uses infrared.
