GYFTA-14~18Xn Optic Cable Product Overview
The structure of GYFTA optical cable consists of a 250µm optical fiber encased in a loose tube made of high-modulus material, with waterproof compounds filling the inside of the tube. At the center of the cable core is a non-metallic central strength member (FRP), and for certain fiber counts, an additional layer of polyethylene (PE) is extruded over the non-metallic strength member. The loose tubes (and filling ropes) are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact and round cable core, with gaps within the cable core filled with water-blocking fillers. After longitudinal wrapping with coated aluminum tape (APL), a polyethylene sheath is extruded to form the cable.
The optical cable, with its high bandwidth, low loss, long-distance transmission capabilities, and resistance to electromagnetic interference, has become an indispensable part of modern communication infrastructure. With the advancement of technologies such as 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing, optical cables are playing an increasingly important role in building high-speed and reliable communication networks.
