GYFTA-50~60Xn Optic Cable Product Overview
The structure of GYFTA optical cable consists of a 250µm optical fiber encased in a high-modulus material that forms a loose tube, which is filled with a waterproof compound. At the center of the cable core is a non-metallic strengthening core (FRP), and for certain core counts of the cable, an additional layer of polyethylene (PE) is extruded over the non-metallic strengthening core. The loose tube (and filling ropes) is twisted around the central strengthening core to form a compact and round cable core, with the gaps inside the cable core filled with water-blocking material. After being longitudinally wrapped with plastic-coated aluminum tape (APL), a polyethylene sheath is extruded to form the cable.
The optical cable is composed of several parts: the cable core, reinforcing steel wires, filler materials, and the sheath, as well as waterproof layers, buffering layers, and insulating metal conductors as needed. The optical cable consists of three parts: the reinforcing core, cable core, sheath, and outer protective layer.
The cable core structure can be of two types: single-core and multi-core; the single-core type can be either solid or tubular; the multi-core type can be flat or unitary. The outer protective layer can be metal armored or non-armored.
