The Cisco 2960 Series Intelligent Ethernet Switch is a new, fixed-configuration, stand-alone family of devices. They  provide desktop Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for enhanced LAN services for entry-level enterprise, mid-market, and branch office networks. Cisco WS-C2960X-24PS-L Switch Features

1,Automatic QoS (AutoQoS) simplifies the QoS settings of a VoIP network by issuing interfaces and global switch commands for detecting Cisco IP phones, classifying traffic classes, and configuring egress queues.

2,The auto-detection feature on each 10/100 port detects the speed of the connected device and automatically sets the port to 10 or 100 Mbps, simplifying switch deployment in mixed 10 and 100 Mbps environments.

3,The auto-negotiation function on all ports can automatically select half-duplex or full-duplex transmission mode to optimize bandwidth.

Dynamic Port Aggregation Protocol (DTP) enables dynamic port aggregation settings on all switch ports.

4 Port Aggregation Protocol (PAgP) can automatically create Cisco Fast EtherChannel Groups or Gigabit EtherChannels to connect to another switch, router, or server.

5 Port Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) allows users to create Ethernet channels using IEEE 802.3ad compliant devices. This feature is similar to Cisco EtherChannel technology and PAgP.

6 The DHCP server is a convenient deployment option for assigning IP addresses to networks that do not have a dedicated DHCP server.

7 DHCP relay allows a DHCP relay agent to broadcast DHCP requests to the network DHCP server.

8 1000BASE-SX, 1000BASE-LX/LH, 1000BASE-ZX, 1000BASE-BX, 100BASE-FX, 100BASE-LX10, 100BASE-BX, and coarse wave division (CWDM) physical interfaces can be passed through a field-replaceable SFP module. Unprecedented flexibility in switch deployment.

9 In order to ensure that the switch can be quickly connected to the network and can transmit traffic with minimal human intervention, there is a default configuration in the flash.

10 If a wrong cable type (crossover or pass-through) is installed on the copper port, the media-dependent interface crossover (automatic MDIX) can automatically adjust the transmit and receive pairs.
