Huawei SSE2SCS Board provides inter-board wavelength protection and client-side 1+1 wavelength protection
The Board is composed of an optical module, a control and communication module, and a power module.

  • Huawei SSE2SCS Board provides inter-board wavelength protection and client-side 1+1 wavelength protection. When the performance of the working fiber deteriorates, the signal is automatically switched to the protection channel.
  • Signal flow
    An SCS board supports dual-transmission and dual-reception processing of two optical signals. The SCS board processes the two optical signals in exactly the same way, and only takes one traffic flow as an example for introduction.
  • Sending direction
    The TI1 optical port receives an optical signal and passes through the optical splitter, and then outputs it from the TO11 and TO12 optical ports to the working and protection channels.
  • Receiving direction
    The optical signals in the working and protection channels can be accessed from the RI1 and RI2 optical ports respectively and enter the coupler. The system selects and activates one of the channels according to the quality of the working and protection channel signals to achieve the selective reception of channel optical signals. The received optical signal is output from the RO1 optical port. Under normal circumstances, the working OTU at the receiving end is in the active state and the protection OTU is in the dormant state. Once a business failure occurs, the alarm triggers protection switching, and the system will turn off the working OTU and activate the protection OTU.
  • Module function
    Optical module
    The optical module includes a splitter and a coupler.
    The optical splitter divides the input optical signal into two channels with equal power and outputs them to the working channel and the protection channel respectively.
    The coupler receives the optical signals of the working channel and the protection channel, and the system selects one optical signal to output according to the service signal quality.
  • Control and communication module
    Realize the operation control of the entire board.
    Collect the alarms, performance events and working status of each functional module of the board.
  • Power module
    Convert the –48V/–60V DC power supply to the power required by each module on the board.
